Australian alternative rock royalty will descend onto the Hunter Valley in November 2016 for the A Day on the Green concert series with three impressive headline acts. Embarking on a monster national tour around Australia, rockers You Am I fronted by lead-singer-songwriter and guitarist Tim Rogers, will join forces for the first time with the legendary Something For Kate and Spiderbait to deliver a series of performances you will not want to miss.
The Monster Line-up – You Am I, Something For Kate, Spiderbait & More
Formed in 1994 with six studio albums, half a million records sold and multiple sell-out tours under their belt, Something For Kate have staked their claim as one of Australia’s greatest rock bands.
Taking out top spot in Triple J’s Hottest 100, numerous ARIA Awards and #1 slot on the singles chart, Spiderbait are one of Australia’s most loved live acts. Continuing with the 25th anniversary year, they’re celebrating in style with the Day on the Green National concert series.
Performing at too many concerts and festivals to count, producing three consecutive #1 records, receiving a whopping 31 ARIA Award nominations with 10 wins, You Am I are considered national legends.
There’s something to be said about the calibre of the supporting acts, with Perth rockers Jebediah coming off the back of a double album release and national sell-out tour as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations and The Meanies returning from a five-week European Tour after releasing their brand new album “It’s Not Me, It’s You” in September 2015.
