Are you planning a visit to our Resort or thinking about a trip to the Hunter Valley? Then this blog article is for you! We get lots of questions from guests wanting to know more information about some of our facilities as well as the Hunter Valley area in general. So we’ve addressed some of the most frequently asked questions!
What’s the best way to see the wineries?
There are many ways to tour the region’s wineries including on our very own double decker Lovedale Bus. Other options include a wine tour, private car or minibus, via bike or simply by driving yourself. There is no single best way and the option that’s best for you will depend on personal preference. We recommend speaking with our Concierge before or during your stay. Our Concierge can provide you with maps of the vineyards, book you on tours and of course give you insightful tips and recommendations!
Can you tell me a bit more about some of Resort’s facilities?
At Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, we have an onsite day spa, golf course, swimming pool, gym, sports courts and a variety of restaurants and bars as well as Sydney Brewery Hunter Valley.
Our Ubika Spa offers 17 opulent treatment rooms, a spa sanctuary suite which caters for up to 12 people at a time, a hairdressing salon and countless indulgent treatments. It is the ultimate escape and relaxation!
Our 18 hole golf course is nearly 6,000 metres long; with an expansive lake, rolling hills and tree-lined fairways adding to the course’s natural beauty. It’s located within the resort grounds. The Pro Shop is equipped with everything you need for hire or purchase. Locker rooms and shower facilities are also provided for your convenience. For more information on our course including pricing click here.
Our swimming pool is open daily from 6am to 9pm and is solar heated to around 27 degrees. The pool is approximately 20m x 25m so is large enough to swim some laps or for a relaxing dip. Deck chairs around the pool area offer the chance to unwind with a good book
We also offer sports courts and tennis courts for the active guests! The courts can be floodlight at night and rackets and balls are available to hire from reception.
Onsite dining options include our signature restaurant, Redsalt and the more casual eatery; The Lovedale. Both offer delicious cuisine, friendly service and a great selection of wines from the region – Not to mention beers and ciders which have been brewed at our very own onsite Sydney Brewery Hunter Valley.
Sounds great, but what about the kids?
Kids are well looked after at our Resort with a variety of activities and facilities, including a carousel, kids train and a teen lounge as well as our pool and sports courts. We also have a dedicated kids club which is fully supervised at set times over the weekends and during school holidays. So whether you’ve booked in a spa treatment, round of golf or wine tasting, you can enjoy complete peace of mind knowing your kids are in safe hands. Our Concierge can make arrangements for a babysitter for you should you require it. Our restaurants serve delicious kids menus and our two and three bedroom villas are the perfect accommodation option if you are travelling with kids.
