Current Hotel Experience

We’re excited to welcome you to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. The Hunter Valley Region is experiencing very high volumes of tourism, so we recommend planning ahead and booking your dining and holiday experiences prior to your arrival.
To keep you safe, your hotel experience might seem a little different as we adjust to Government Covid 19 guidelines and public health advice.
Some changes you may encounter include:

Changes to Breakfast

  • As per Government regulations, we have removed our buffet breakfast options
  • Government mandated seating limits and social distancing measures apply. Ask our staff for more information on current restrictions.
  • In-room dining  options are available for non-inclusive breakfast guests
  • Contact information will be required for each seated guest, in line with current Government regulations.

Resort Pool Bookings

  • Pool opening times: 8.00am-6.15pm
  • Covid 19 Cleaning procedures and social distancing requirements are in line with current Government guidelines.
  • Our Outdoor Spa and Sauna are currently closed.

Lovedale Bar and Restaurant

  • Open for lunch and dinner, however Government mandated booking limits and social distancing measures apply. Ask our staff when making your reservation for more information on current restrictions.
  • Contact information will be required for each seated guest, in line with current Government regulations
  • Takeaway options available
  • Lunch and Dinner bookings are essential.

Redsalt Restaurant

  • Open for dinner each Thursday-Saturday.
  • Government mandated seating limits and social distancing measures apply. Ask our staff when making your reservation for more information on current restrictions

Changes to Your Hotel Experience

  • We kindly request that only one registered guest from your party approach our front desk team when checking in
  • Upon registration you will be required to provide all of the names of the persons in your party, including children
  • Social distancing limits apply to all areas of the resort
  • We temporarily require all guests to handle their own luggage
  • When possible, please utilise our Express Checkout and Contactless Checkout services
  • All hotel staff are wearing face coverings whilst in indoor Resort areas

Hotel Facilities

  • Ubika Spa and  Hunter Valley Golf are open
  • Our onsite gym and resort pools are open to limited capacity in order to comply with social distancing requirements and contact information must be recorded prior to entry
  • Access to the Haven Adults Only Pool is temporarily restricted to guests staying in our Pool Access rooms
  • Due to extreme popularity, please ensure you pre-book your Ubika Spa treatment, Hunter Valley Golf Game or Sydney Brewery Hunter Valley tour ahead of your arrival, to avoid disappointment

IHG Way of Clean

As a member of the IHG family, we have a long-standing commitment to rigorous cleaning procedures. This programme is now being expanded with additional COVID-19 protocols and best practices – many of which are already in place – to reflect the advice of the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and local public health authorities in markets around the world.

IHG Way of Clean already includes deep cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants, and going forward, guests can expect to see evolved procedures in every area of the hotel, which may include:

  • Reception: Reduced contact at check-in, touchless transactions, front desk screens, sanitiser stations, keyless entry and sanitised key-cards, paperless check-out
  • Public Spaces and Facilities: Additional deep cleaning of high touch surfaces, social distancing, ‘last cleaned’ charts, best practices for pools, fitness centres and lounges
  • Guest Room: Visible verification of sanitised items (e.g. glassware, remote control), reduction of in-room furnishings/high-touch items, new laundry protocols, use of electrostatic technology
  • Food & Beverage: New standards and service approach to buffets, banquets, room-service and catering

Supporting the Wellbeing of Guests and Colleagues

Enabling the personal wellbeing of guests and colleagues is key. We’re working closely with a team of medical experts at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic to develop guidance and resources for hotel teams on returning to work and keeping guests safe in this new environment, some of which include:

  • Cleanliness information in hotels and on IHG’s booking channels
  • Social distancing operating procedures and signage
  • Guidance on the use of protective equipment as necessary by hotel colleagues 
  • Updated colleague training and certification
  • Availability of individual guest amenity cleaning kits
  • Hand sanitiser and disinfecting wipes available in guest rooms and at high-touch points throughout hotels
